This trailer isn’t brand new, but it is something I have been meaning to get up on TGA for a little while now.  It is a good mix of developer commentary and gameplay footage and it looks like it is shaping up really well.  So without further adieu here is the official Halo 4 trailer.  As always you can follow us on Twitter @GamersAbstract and like us on Facebook for more content.

Ridge Racer Unbounded is approaching its March 30th release date and Namco has released a new trailer showcasing the game’s environmental effects including destruction.  Bugbear Entertainment of Flatout fame is at the helm of this latest Ridge game and their flair for destruction is clearly portrayed throughout the trailer.  Unbounded is shaping up to look more like a Burnout and Split/Second hybrid rather than a Ridge Racer title, but both of those games are really good so this new direction doesn’t really bother me that much.  Enjoy the trailer and be sure to let us know what you think of this new move for Ridge Racer in the comments section.  As always you can follow us on Twitter @GamersAbstract and like us on Facebook for more content. [thanks to VISO Games for the trailer]

Mass Effect 3 is not that far out at this point and the goodies keep on rolling in.  We were first given an awesome demo that showcased a few missions in the game as well as some of the multiplayer components and now we have been given one of the prettiest and most awesome CG trailers ever made.  It originally aired last night during the newest episode of The Walking Dead, but if you missed it you can enjoy it now right here at TGA.  Enjoy the trailer and as always you can follow us on Twitter @GamersAbstract and like us on Facebook for more content.

The VGAs were last night on Spike TV and while lots of things were announced and previewed, one thing in particular captured my attention (and not for the right reasons).  The newest Tony Hawk game was announced entitled “Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD” and it is an HD remake that will have levels from the first two THPS games.  It will be available as a digital download and will reportedly cost less than $20 (I hope so).  The teaser trailer showed off one of the iconic THPS levels “Warehouse” and probably how the final product will look and play.  This is all fine and dandy, but after all this time this is Activision’s answer to Skate?  Maybe not answer, but when the Tony Hawk team went back to the “drawing board” this was the best they could come up with?  You attempt to rehash a game, which for all intents and purposes already exists.  THPS HD came out ten years ago people, it was called Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2X for the original Xbox and by the sounds of it this game will not even have as much content as 2X.  It is going to have “select” levels from the first two titles whereas 2X had every level from the first two games plus five additional/new ones.  I’m sorry this game already sounds like a joke to me.  Some things are better left alone and the Tony Hawk franchise falls into that category.  The abominations that were Ride and Shred were the proverbial nails in the coffin for the series and trying to resurrect it with this half ass effort is a slap in the face to what was once a great franchise.

What do you think about this effort from Activision?  Do you think it will perform well or will the series fall of the board again and fall flat on its face?  Sound off in the comments section and let us know what you think.  As always you can follow us on Twitter @GamersAbstract and like us on Facebook for more content.

[Go buy THPS 2X and save yourself some money and hard drive space]

It has been almost 4 years since the last Rainbow Six game came out and I’ll be the first to say that I am really excited for this next entry.  While the game is stilll a ways away this trailer will definitely give eager fans like me a taste of what Patriots will bring to the table.  This trailer (while not compiled of actual gameplay footage) shows that the Rainbow Six franchise is trying to incorporate a more cinematically engaging experience in conjunction with tactical standoffs that the game is already renown for.  The trailer also shows off some great tech that hopefully creeps its way into the final design and product.  I will not keep you from watching any longer, so please enjoy this trailer and stay tuned for more Rainbow Six: Patriots coverage.  As always you can follow us Twitter @GamersAbstract and like us on Facebook for more content.

Rockstar is launching a 5 part video series showcasing the various features of their upcoming shooter Max Payne 3.  This first video displays really how much of a powerhouse Max Payne 3 is under the hood.  They have almost accounted for every possible situation in a gun fight and programmed it into this game.  The amount of detail being put into this game is absolutely stunning and makes me wish I could hibernate until March so I can ease myself of the pain of having to wait.  We will post the newest entries as they become available, but for now enjoy this treat from Rockstar.  Stay tuned for more and as always you can follow us on Twitter @GamersAbstract and like us on Facebook for more content.

One of our awesome team members Ryan brought this trailer to my attention earlier today and I am now sharing it with all of you.  This is a fan made, yes, fan made Halo movie trailer that is looking like it will be turned into a full fledged feature (fingers crossed).  If you are a fan of Halo definitely watch this, share it and support the production of this movie.  This is top notch folks so I will leave you to the trailer of Halo: Helljumper, enjoy.

Just like They Live...just a coincidence

The newest DMC trailer entitled “Don’t mess with a God” shows off Dante gallivanting around the DMC world whooping demon ass and but also seeing the world through an all too familiar lens.  I don’t know about you, but this game definitely has some They Live flavor to it.  The opening quote and the first few images are very reminiscent of the 1988 Roddy Piper classic and if you are not getting the humor or reference, IMDB the movie immediately for a trailer.  If you are brave and have some time to kill I believe it is on Netflix instant streaming as well for your viewing pleasure.  That was a fun tangent, but back to business now.

Oh Shit there it is again...wait a minute, has to be a mistake right?

Alright, three They Live references inside of 20 seconds...I'm not imagining things

A lot of people are worried about this new DMC title even including one of our own, Justin (his handle on here is Shalashaska86 or something to that degree), but this title seems to be your standard DMC affair.  Ninja Theory has a pretty good track record of making quality games (Enslaved, Heavenly Sword).  They haven’t pumped out any crap yet and I don’t think they are going to start with this.  I didn’t see anything in this trailer that made me worried about it being true to the DMC lineage.  The combat looks solid and some of the platforming elements look really well done.  From what I have seen thus far in this trailer and others is that this game has the potential to be a big contender in the action game genre.

Bit on the blurry side, looks like one of those cool platforming sequences I talked about

Reboots need more TLC than most other games because you have to make sure you protect the game’s already established reputation (hopefully it’s a good one, worthy of protection) while also creating a new identity for the franchise.  Ninja Theory’s DMC might look and play the same as Capcom’s original franchise, but I am pretty confident that they will introduce and implement new components that will keeps long-time fans of the franchise happy as well as bring in a whole new crowd.  So I am excited to see what other developments this game makes in the coming months and if you stay tuned we will be sure to update you as well.

What do you think of the new DMC game so far?  Did this trailer impress you, disgust you, or leave you somewhere in the middle?  Sound off in the comments section and let us know what you think.  As always you can follow us on Twitter @GamersAbstract and like us on Facebook for more content.
